A Chanticleer Christmas
Sunday, November 25, 3pm, NEC’s Jordan Hall
Named after the clear-singing rooster in Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, Chanticleer is an a capella wonder. The ensemble’s twelve members enchant listeners with musical power, spirit and unity, leading some to dub them “an orchestra of voices.” “A Chanticleer Christmas” celebrates the mystery and wonder of Christmas with an elegant blend of traditional carols, Medieval and Renaissance sacred works, and moving spirituals.
"America’s favorite choral ensemble."
—The New Yorker
"Chanticleer’s versatility never ceases to amaze…."
