Since 1997 the Grammy-nominated Imani Winds has been enriching the traditional wind quintet repertoire with European, American, African and Latin music. Their name, “Imani,” which means “faith” in Swahili, summarizes their mission. These five unabashedly adventurous musicians have followed their mission closely, carving out a distinct presence in the classical music world with their dynamic performances and poignant, unique programming.

“Imani Winds is a true breath of fresh air. The classical music world would do well to take the Imani model to heart.”
—The Washington Post
