Celebrity Series Debut
Saturday, April 21, 8pm, NEC’s Jordan Hall
French soprano Sandrine Piau’s voice is a marvel, the best reason this wonderful singer’s star is on the rise. She has received exceptional acclaim for her stage and recorded performances of gems from the Baroque repertoire, though she does not limit herself to the Baroque. Piau’s voice is crystal clear, her technique is stunningly agile, and her dynamic control is flawless and piercingly eloquent. Program will include works by Fauré, Mendelssohn, Strauss, and Poulenc.
"Ms. Piau sang with a clear and deeply expressive voice, nuanced phrasing and immaculate control.”
