The 2008-2009 season marks the twelfth year that Rob Kapilow has been engaged to create and present original musical works for Celebrity Series Family Musik programs. Family Musik has become an annual tradition for children and adults of all ages in Greater Boston. The Celebrity Series is committed to contributing to the growing repertoire of music for family audiences by presenting works that provide many youngsters with their first introduction to classical music and dance.

This season, Rob Kapilow returns to Boston with two exciting programs that feature original compositions commissioned by the Celebrity Series: Green Eggs and Hamadeus on February 28, and Jabberwocky on May 9. Both programs promise to engage and entertain the entire family as Rob teaches us how to listen, laugh and learn together.

The Collings Foundation, the generous sponsor of Family Musik, has issued a challenge to our audiences: the Foundation will match donations to the Family Musik Circle of Friends, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $10,000.
