The Hurley K-8 School is one of Neighborhood Arts earliest school partners since October 2012 beginning with a lecture demonstration from the Harlem String Quartet. In Spring 2018 the Hurley will receive visits from Sandeep Das (Indian tabla) and Voci Angelica (world folk music.) Students from the Hurley will also participate in a 4 week residency in April with composer-percussionist Ryan Edwards in collaboration with faculty from Urbanity Dance. The culminating performance will take place on May 24, 2018 at 9:00am and 1:00pm at the Hurley School.
The Hurley School is accessible, with a small parking lot in the front of the school and a larger lot behind the school (access from W. Springfield Street side.) Parking on Worcester Street is primarily permit only, with meters available on Tremont Street. The nearest T station is the Mass. Avenue station (orange line) and the No. 1 Harvard/Dudley bus.
