This concert marks the Celebrity Series debut performance for Beatrice Rana.
At only 24 years old, pianist Beatrice Rana is making waves on the international classical music scene, arousing admiration and interest from concert presenters, conductors, critics, and audiences around the world.
Rana performs regularly at the world’s most esteemed concert halls and festivals, and she collaborates with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Antonio Pappano, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Her first album as exclusive Warner Classics recording artist, released in 2015, featured Prokofiev’s 2nd piano concerto and Tchaikovsky’s first concerto with Antonio Pappano and the Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia di Roma. The CD received international acclaim including the prestigious Gramophone’s Editor’s Choice and BBC Music Magazine’s Newcomer of the Year Award.
Born in Italy into a family of musicians in 1993, Beatrice Rana began her studies at the age of four and made her orchestral debut at nine, performing Bach Concerto in F minor. She achieved her Piano Degree under the guidance of Benedetto Lupo, her lifetime mentor, at the Nino Rota Conservatory in Monopoli, where she also studied composition with Marco
