Stave Sessions: Flor de Toloache (Canceled)

160 Mass Ave

This performance has been canceled. We hope to bring the artists to Boston for a yet-to-be-determined future season.

Flor de Toloache is a Latin Grammy-winning, New York-based all-female mariachi ensemble known for stretching the boundaries of this rich traditional music into decidedly new places. Flor de Toloache’s soaring vocals and innovative arrangements have won fans worldwide via recent appearances at the Coachella Festival, NPR Tiny Desk Concerts, a 2018 TED Talk, and the 42nd Annual Kennedy Center Honors.

“When you think mariachis, you probably think a group of men in their iconic black suits and hats. But you haven't met the group Flor de Toloache.”

NBC News

“[Flor de Toloache] … pushes the boundaries of mariachi music and its instruments through reimagined pop covers, originals and original collaborations.”
