The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis dedicates an evening to the immensely popular Irving Berlin, once called “the greatest songwriter that has ever lived” by George Gershwin. With classics like “God Bless America,” “I’ll Be Loving You Always,” “Count Your Blessings,” “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” and “Let’s Face the Music and Dance,” it will be a big-band showcase of timeless Great American Songbook, Broadway, and Hollywood hits.
The performance features authentic big-band charts as they were played by the original, iconic big bands, plus brand-new arrangements by members of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
*This performance will be Pops-style seating (Orchestra seats will be removed and replaced with tables with 5 seats around each). If you have questions about this seating arrangement, please contact the Box Office.
