Making the Music (Canceled)

featuring Anaïs Mitchell, Duncan Sheik, and Shaina Taub
Sanders Theatre

Three outstanding contemporary singer-songwriters and stunning performers whose musical visions are currently energizing the stages of Broadway share their music in this intimate evening. Celebrity Series favorite Anaïs Mitchell, the Grammy winner and celebrated two-time 2019 Tony winner for Hadestown; Duncan Sheik, the two-time Tony and Grammy-winning composer of Broadway phenomenon Spring Awakening; and Shaina Taub, the Emmy-nominated songwriter and lyricist for Elton John’s upcoming The Devil Wears Prada, come together for Making the Music—a unique, unforgettable, collaborative concert.

“A national treasure; one of our great modern singer-songwriters.”

Time Out Magazine on Anaïs Mitchell

“...even when a solid groove moors a track, Sheik's melodies dart around with balletic agility that dares you to wonder when they'll descend again.”

NPR on Duncan Sheik

“Shaina Taub belongs to a breed of performers who [...] are gravitational forces around whom others cluster like filings to a magnet.”
