STAVE SESSION: Tigue & Arooj Aftab with Gyan Riley

Berklee - 160 Mass Ave - 160 Massachusetts Ave

Percussion trio Tigue, last seen on Stave Sessions in 2017 with neo-traditional Brooklyn-based Moroccan ensemble Innov Gnawa, again partner with an artist reinventing traditional musical forms in an entirely contemporary way.

Pakistan-born, Berklee-educated, and Brooklyn-based neo-Sufi singer Arooj Aftab brings a new approach to old forms: merging 19th century Sufi and Thumri verse with the instrumentation and spirit of indie rock.

Doors open 7:00pm / Shows start at 8:00pm

Prices, seating sections, and programs are subject to change.
