Don't miss trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire - called "the most distinctive, elusive and ultimately satisfying trumpeter of his generation" by The New York Times - and his Quartet (pianist Sullivan Fortner, bassist Matt Brewer, and drummer Justin Brown) featuring special guest Kurt Rosenwinkel.

Akinmusire, in deeply felt and personal musical explorations, probes points of contact between jazz and the blues, hip-hop, contemporary chamber music, and beyond. Rosenwinkel, who guests with the quartet, is a relentless innovator, with "a vast and supremely sophisticated harmonic vision and melodic sensibility" (The New York Times).

This performance is part of the Jazz Festival.
