Jazz supergroup Artemis makes its Celebrity Series debut with an unforgettable, unique performance. Hailing from the US, Canada, and Japan, six of the top-charting female jazz musicians come together as one, giving audiences high-wire interplay infused with pure joy.

The band’s name references the Greek goddess Artemis, who is known as an explorer, a protector of young children, and a goddess of the hunt. Trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, who conceived the name, explains “I feel that her character is indicative of the energies and wide array of musical tapestries that Artemis the band brings to the stage as we take our music to the moon and beyond.”

“A killer line-up of players, composers, and performers who hail from all over the world...they all converge on this extremely cosmopolitan, sleek, rhythm-forward, modern sound.”
