Camille A. Brown & Dancers: Every Body Move
A social dance community class

Roxbury YMCA

Taught by Camille A. Brown & Dancers company members Mora-Amina Parker (Rehearsal Director), Eboni Edwards, and Brianna Dawkins.

This intergenerational class celebrates community and creative identity through movement. Participants will engage with social dances rooted in the Black American experience and Diaspora traditions. It’s high energy, joy-filled, and includes dialogue, history and connection alongside movement.

No dance experience needed (all ages and abilities are welcome). Just wear comfortable clothes and shoes (sneakers are great).

Camille A. Brown & Dancers’ production of I AM is presented by Celebrity Series of Boston on November 14-15 at the Cutler Majestic Theatre, Emerson College.  I AM weaves a world of African diasporic dance styles into an energetic, spontaneous and powerful work.
