First Church in Roxbury

10 Putnam Street, Roxbury

Plan Your Visit

An 1804 meetinghouse turned thriving community center hosts concerts using its historic organ and two performance  spaces. The new-to-us First Church in Roxbury joins the Neighborhood Arts family this season. The meetinghouse dates from 1804, but there has been a church on the site since 1632. The church, operated as a community center by the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry, is home to an 1883 Hook & Hastings pipe organ, recently reinstalled after a thorough renovation.

To ensure you are on time for the performance, please arrive early. Specific information about when doors will open for your event will be sent in your pre-show email. Seating after the performance has begun will be at the discretion of management, and may be delayed until a suitable pause in the performance.
