The Yard at the Tobin Community Center

Presented by Mission Hill Arts Festival in collaboration with Celebrity Series of Boston.

Olivia Pérez-Collellmir is a Boston based pianist, composer, and musical director.

She is known as a Spanish virtuoso who adds a flamenco touch to her chamber jazz.

With her unmistakable style blending Flamenco and indigenous Catalan sounds, chamber music elements, and jazz piano, Olivia shares the cosmopolitan sounds of her hometown of Barcelona with audiences around the world.

Her album OLIVIA, featuring 18 stellar collaborations with national and international renowned musicians, is the story of her journey to a thriving career in music. She shares the dedication and sacrifice to the path of creativity and virtuosity: a life of performing, acting, studying, researching, composing and educating.

A distinguished professor in the piano and ensemble departments at Berklee College of Music, Olivia has made history as the first Spanish pianist on the faculty. As a tribute to her heritage, she incentivized the formation of the first Berklee Contemporary Spanish Music and Flamenco Jazz Ensemble.

“Olivia's music is a striking and gorgeous distillation of profound lyricism and rhythms that are ferocious and elegant at the same time. It stays in my mind long after hearing it.”
