No, tickets from 2021-2022 canceled events are not valid for any performance in the 2022-2023 season. All patrons were contacted regarding their canceled performance tickets and have already been processed as donations or refunds If you would like to attend a performance, you will need to purchase a ticket after they go on sale.

When tickets go on sale, our website is the best way to purchase tickets to ensure fair and timely processing, and remain aligned with evolving capacity guidelines. Telephone ordering will be available, but we encourage online orders to avoid hold times.

Subscriptions are now on sale! To become a subscriber, you will need to purchase tickets to at least 3 in-person performances and pay the one-time $15 subscription fee by the subscription deadline in the fall. You will be considered a subscriber for the entire 2022/23 season -- eligible for all associated benefits and services including early access to seats before the general public; guaranteed pricing; advance notice of new sales; ticket exchange privileges; and no service fees.

If you've already purchased your subscription, but would like to add additional shows, additional seats, or exchange to a different show, just call our Box Office! We are happy to help you over the phone. Later this summer, you will have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets or request an exchange online.

For the 2022/23 season, we are returning to our normal exchange model. If your plans change, as one of your many benefits, Subscribers are able exchange their tickets for credit on account, a donation to Celebrity Series, or into another Celebrity Series performance. For single ticket buyers, all purchases are final sale. In the event a performance is canceled, all ticket-holders will have to opportunity to request a refund.

During the pandemic shut-down, Celebrity Series audiences enjoyed digital events of all kinds: ticketed paid performances, festivals, special events, and free performances by Boston-based artists.

It was an essential way for us to stay connected with the people who matter most: audiences, supporters, and artists. Digital performances allowed audiences across the region and the country to stay safe and to experience live and on-demand performances created just for us.

Going forward, we envision digital performances as a complement to, not a substitution for, the in-person live experience.  Select performances will be available for paid and ticketed streaming, as in 2021/22, and select in-person Neighborhood Arts performances will be available to watch as on-demand recordings. Differing from last season, these digital performances will not premiere live, but will have their own premiere date and time.

In the rare event that you receive an error message or are having trouble playing your digital concert, there are a few simple steps you can try.

Try refreshing your page. Make sure the browser you are using is up to date and supported (i.e. not Internet Explorer). Try using a different browser. Make sure your internet connection is working correctly. Try playing another video: if that is not working either, it suggests the issue could be with your device, or internet connection.  If you are still experiencing difficulties, please reach out to our box office via email at boxoffice@celebrityseries.org.

It is recommended that everyone test their log ins prior to the night of the performance.  We are happy to assist with any trouble you may have logging in to your account for viewing.  Most people can update their passwords themselves.  Once you are on the log in page, there will be an option that says "forgot password".  Just select that, enter your information, and await the password reset email.  If you are still experiencing difficulties, patrons can reach out to our box office via email at boxoffice@celebrityseries.org.

We are not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorized ticket brokers or websites and we don’t support the unauthorized reselling of tickets at a price above printed face value, which is barred by the state of Massachusetts. The Celebrity Series retains the right to refuse to sell tickets to any person or entity that has been, or currently is, in violation of these prohibitions. The Celebrity Series also retains the right to hold large or suspicious orders for pick-up at Will Call with a valid ID.

These websites are often made to look like legitimate ticketing agents of Celebrity Series or our presenting facilities by using our logo, photographs, press quotes, and venue name. No matter how legitimate a website may look, tickets that aren’t purchased directly from Celebrity Series, our presenting facilities, or authorized partners may not be valid for admission.

If you purchased tickets from an unauthorized source and were not granted admission, there are several ways to seek a refund:

Return to your point of purchase (e.g., your ticket broker or online ticket resale website), report that the tickets weren’t valid for entry and demand a refund. You may also want to report the vendor to Mayor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing at 617.635.4165 and MOCAL@BOSTON.GOV as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey at 617.727.8400. If you are unsuccessful in demanding a refund from the vendor, we suggest that you contact the credit card company you used for the purchase. Explain the situation and ask that they refund you and offset future monies they may owe to the vendor - this is known as a “chargeback”.

The safest and most economical way to purchase tickets is directly through Celebrity Series or our presenting facilities.
