Company members from Music From the Sole will lead a community (body percussion and movement) workshop.
All that is required from participants are comfortable clothes and shoes (sneakers fine), open to all ages. In this workshop, company artists start from basic of body percussion (stomps, snaps, claps, vocalizing) and build a short poly-rhythmic percussive piece, featuring Afro-Brazilian rhythmic patterns.
Music From the Sole will be presented by Celebrity Series in three performances October 17-19 at Boston Arts Academy, with up to ten musicians and dancers.
