(For Immediate Release—February 3, 2022, Boston) Celebrity Series of Boston announces due to the artist testing positive for COVID-19, the in-person and streaming recital by pianist Daniil Trifonov, scheduled for Friday, February 4, 2022 at Symphony Hall (301 Massachusetts Ave, Boston) is canceled. This performance will not be rescheduled in the 2021-22 season.

Mr. Trifonov says, “I'm so disappointed I will not be able to play this weekend, and look forward to returning to Boston in the future."

Patrons who purchased from Celebrity Series will have the option to donate the full or partial value of their tickets, put the value of their tickets on their account, or receive a refund. Ticket holders will be contacted by the box office, or may email boxoffice@celebrityseries.org.

Patrons who purchased from Symphony Hall who paid by credit card will receive an automatic refund to their card within 7-10 days. Symphony Hall patrons who paid by cash/check should contact the Symphony Hall box office at their earliest convenience by emailing tickets@bso.org, calling 888-266-1200, or stopping by the Symphony Hall box office during business hours listed on bso.org/contact.
